• Members of the 27D-1 Diabetes Committee participated in the JDRF 'Walk' in Madison as well as Janesville this past October...
• Committee members are currently working on distribution amongst Lions clubs and communities, of a new DVD pertaining to the association of diabetes and kidney disease...
• Our District is striving to participate in the LCI parade at the Seattle Convention in 2011 with a diabetes-related float, and has made contacts with the Parade Committee there...
• Our committee will continue to support ADA's participation at Lions Camp the last week of July/1st week of August, and will have our annual meeting there as in the past...
• This committee will again promote a 'Strides Walk' pertaining to diabetes at the upcoming District/State Conventions...
• Our long range plan is to host a 6th annual 'Diabetes Workshop' in November 2010 at the Lions clubhouse in Albany...
• We are planning to meet periodically and communicate amongst ourselves on a regular basis in an effort to come up with new diabetes-related projects, etc....
